Spring 2025 Pledging Ceremony

This weekend, Beta Nu Chapter hosted its Pledging Ceremony at the chapter house. The brothers welcomed seven membership candidates to formally begin their Resolute Journey in Theta Chi Fraternity. The Pledging Ceremony is the first step that every brother

A membership candidate will publicly make his formal pledge to join Theta Chi Fraternity and will be presented with his Pledge Button. The new pledge will begin to learn basic fundamentals of life in Theta Chi Fraternity. Members attending this ceremony will serve as witnesses to the pledge made by the membership candidates and will welcome new pledges into the Fraternity.

The ceremony was presided over by President Ben Creiner (2027) with assistance from Recruitment Chairman Adam Hutchings (2026) and Marshal Jake Bridge (2027). Alumnus Advisor John Cleaver (2012) admonished the candidates on the expectations of them as candidates, and later, as brothers.

The following candidates stated their pledge to join Beta Nu Chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity:

  • Aaron Brey (2027) of Mt. Prospect, IL, USA / Computer Science
  • Axel Leon-Lubowicz (2028) of Santa Fe, NM, USA / Nursing
  • Kavin Muthuselvan (2028) of Bangalore, Karnataka, India / Computer Science
  • Luka Perazich (2027) of Menlo Park, CA / Biology and Geological Sciences
  • Devin Riehle (2028) of Ventura, CA, USA / Mathematics and Computer Science
  • Leo Yamauchi (2028) of McKinney, TX, USA / Computer Engineering and Music

At the conclusion of the ceremony, after the candidates gave their pledge, the assembled brothers congratulated and welcomed the new candidates. A celebratory dinner of tacos was enjoyed by all in attendance.
